At Monash Touch's Annual General Meeting in 2008, 3 perpetual awards were introduced for the first time. These awards are: The Male Player of the Year award. The Female Player of the Year award. And the Jonothan Rooke "Rookie" of the Year Award, named for one of the most successful players in the history of the club. Male Player of the Year | Year | Name | | 2008 | Richard Johnston | Female Player of the Year | Year | Name | | 2008 | Patricia Car | Jonothan Rooke “Rookie” of the Year Awarded to new members of the club who have shown the greatest improvement in their touch game over the course of the year. Criteria: - First year club member. - Most improved over the course of the year. - Represented the Monash Touch Football Club at the Australian University Games in their first year (A.U.G.) – unless exceptional circumstances (e.g. injury) prevented them from doing so.
